We advised on and revised the international trade contracts for the purchase of coal by TNB Fuel Services Sdn Bhd, the chartering arm of Tenaga Nasional Berhad, the former Electricity Board of Malaysia. The international trade contracts include the template contracts of major suppliers of coal. We advised TNB Fuel Services Sdn Bhd as Malaysian counsel on developing its template contract on the purchase of coal.

We acted as Malaysian counsel advising the Malaysian national car manufacturer in an ad-hoc international arbitration brought by European distributors arising from export of cars to Europe. The legal services included advising on Malaysian law issues throughout the arbitration which included drafting and issuing Malaysian law legal opinions on Malaysian law governing the international trade contract and assisting in the drafting of witness statements.
