Our Firm has acted as Transaction counsel advising Tenaga Nasional Berhad subsidiary, TNB Fuel Services Sdn Bhd, the biggest charterer of coal shipments in the Asia Pacific region. The Firm had rendered Malaysian law legal opinions and reviewed numerous shipping related contracts and shipping caselaw to purchase and carry coal.

We have advised as transaction counsel the lead joint venture partner in a 60-year concession for a gas supply base in East Malaysia. We advised on the initial corporate steps in the formation of the joint venture including the term sheet, the heads of agreement of the joint venture agreement and the creation of a golden share.

We advised the Malaysian national oil & gas company, Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd on transfer issues for the FSO Sepat and the MOPU Sepat. We advised SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd as owner of the FSPO Berantai modified at a Singapore shipyard, and on developing shipbuilding contracts for the construction of 3 pipe lay support vessels for the Brazilian oil & gas industry.

We advised the Malaysian liquid natural gas company in developing its template Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) Master Time Charterparty for the transportation of liquid natural gas to ASEAN countries.
